2014 went something like this

UPDATE 6/1/15: Due to gremlins in the system the photos didn't all make their way into this post so if these leave you wanting more - head over to see part II HERE!

As usual, I'm a bit stuck for words.  And I know every year I say it was the best yet... but it WAS.  I will probably just ramble on a bit so skip to the photos if you want, I won't judge you.

It was certainly my busiest year yet and saw me shoot 40 weddings spread all over the UK and France along with a handful of engagement/pre-wedding shoots and one of them, an amazing Paris engagement shoot

What else... I attended the most incredible wedding photography workshop in Italy which inspired me and moved me to tears more than once (to the Ostuni class of 2014 - CHEERS and 'Ciao bella' to all you amazing people); did a gorgeous couple + bump shoot  (aka maternity!) with one of my 2013 couples; went to Holland to visit my best friend (and do a little family shoot of course); shot a styled bridal shoot for Isla Jean Bridal that I just adore; was nominated for Best Wedding Photographer at the Wedding Industry Awards and made it to the Regional Finals; and I was invited to join the Junebug Weddings invitation only hotlist of 'World's Best Wedding Photographers'.  And then they featured images of mine on two separate occasions.

All of that right there would have been enough.  PLENTY.  And then Rangefinder Magazine emailed me to tell me I was one of their '30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography' in the world.  And to be completely honest, I've been in a state of shock ever since.

It has put me in touch with new industry friends all over the world, some I've had the chance to meet in person already {the gorgeous Erum Rizvi for one} and for that I'm so thankful.  Hopefully I'll get to meet a few more this year!

A few quick thank yous...  those industry friends and clients who got in touch/sent cards in the wake of the Rangefinder thing, in particular Andrea Ellison who (after I submitted images and had to wait to hear) told me every day "you're in the 30".  I love you lady.  Mr P who is always my biggest supporter and the best pit crew a girl (and wedding photographer) could ever want.  I love you.  Thank you for putting up with me, my mess and my frequent absence over the summer.  And to my friends and family who I love dearly and will try to see more of this year.  Promise.

Finally thank you to all of my amazing couples... for your trust and friendship.  And for having such bloody awesome weddings. Without you I'd probably just be taking photos of the dog.

So here are my personal favourites from 2014.  If you do make it to the end (!) don't forget to hit the little heart and watch it explode.

I cannot imagine what 2015 might bring or where it might take me but I'm READY.
