Elegant Oddfellows wedding, Chester - Sharon & Paul

I met Sharon & Paul and their adorable little boy Bertie in a cosy pub just outside Chester ahead of the wedding and just instantly felt at ease.  Bertie and I also hit it off.  :)   Sharon is the kind of person you meet and instantly want to be friends with - she has a wonderful twinkle in her eye!  She and Paul are literally a match made in heaven.

These guys have had a tough couple of years so to see them SO incredibly happy on Saturday, surrounded by those they love most, and to be able to share and capture it was an honour.

My day started with the boys - Paul gave out bow ties & pocket squares to the best man Alan and the two Dads.  These had been specially made and each had a personal message in. Such a lovely touch.  Then a surprise for Paul from Sharon (delivered via wedding planner extraordinaire and friend Amy) - she had arranged a classic mini cooper (Paul's first ever car) for the boys to go for a spin (at approx 30mph) around Chester.  His face just lit up when he got in "It smells exactly the same!"

Best part?  I got to go in it too when we went off for photos later in the day.  :)

I have to mention Sharon's dress... an absolutely incredible bespoke Sharon Bowen creation with exquisite sleeves.... sigh.  There were bubble guns instead of confetti... and love locks on the cake plus one special lock sneaked on to the bridge (ssshhh don't tell the miserable council)... and lots and lots of happy tears.

Sharon & Paul - I know you are waiting (im)patiently for these previews so I'll say thank you for being wonderful to work with, I had an absolute ball and I KNOW you both had the best day!  I couldn't be happier for you.  ENJOY VEGAS BABY!  Lots of love (and cuddles for Bertie).  xxx
