Elegant Chateau la Durantie wedding, Dordogne, France - Jessica & Wayne
I've been in France just over a week now and I've shot three beautiful weddings already with one more to come before I head home to Mr P and Badger the dog. :) My first wedding in France was at Chateau la Durantie, a place I've wanted to shoot at for ages, and with a couple I had not met but who I already totally loved, thanks to their wonderful and unexpected gift (see video here).
Jessica & Wayne live in LA and were lucky enough to have all their friends and family travel over with them to celebrate (and give some very emotional speeches... *sniff*).
The ceremony was at the beautiful Church of St Thomas in nearby Excideuil and then everyone headed back to Durantie for food, dancing, fireworks and crepes.
It was such an amazing day... the weather behaved, everything was beyond beautiful, Mr & Mrs Rodriguez were (and are still!) hot, the music was incredible (especially when the band Brightlights played a certain song from Dirty Dancing and everyone started shouting 'LIFT LIFT LIFT' and they only went and did it... mostly).
It was a pleasure to work with Chris & Laura of Zen Film Works again and to have Nicola Thompson along to second shoot. What a team! Big love. I also have a new found love for tequila.
Jessica & Wayne - thank you for being so welcoming and so much fun. Defiitely NOT douchebags Wayne.
Enjoy the rest of your French honeymoon & adventure! Lots of love. xxx
