Combermere Abbey / Cock O'Barton wedding - Gemma & John

It was a beautiful day in April (remember, that early summer we had?)... Gemma & John's big day.  Even the clouds were making hearts in the sky....

Sure there were a few hitches... like the camper van bringing John broke down at the top of the long drive up to Combermere Abbey.... and the bride was a little late (but that IS a bride's right on her big day!).... but nothing was going to stop this couple from enjoying themselves.   It was a day full of laughter, tears, sunshine, dancing and happiness.  As every wedding should be.  : )

These two are so in love... I quietly wept during the ceremony as John wiped a tear from Gemma's face... it's an occupational hazard I'm used to!

Combermere Abbey was the absolutely stunning setting for the ceremony and reception.  Afterwards everyone headed for The Cock O'Barton, a very 'hip' bar and restaurant renowned for it's excellent food and set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside (and the COB staff were incredible, nothing was too much trouble!).

Gemma and John, it was an absolute pleasure to photograph your wedding... thank you for letting me be a part of it.  xxxx    Big thanks to Andy Pickard for second shooting on the day and being utterly brilliant!
