A rustic marquee wedding in Pembrokeshire - Liz & James
There just aren't enough hours in the day to blog all the weddings I'm privileged to shoot but I couldn't not share this last one from 2012... a favourite because of the setting in beautiful Narberth, Pembrokeshire. I can't wait to visit the area again when I have more time so I can explore. Liz & James got in touch when their original photographer let them down and I was delighted to step in. We met up in London for a gorgeous Greenwich engagement shoot (spot the squirrel!) a few months before the wedding and hit it off straight away. James is really easy going and laid back and Liz is an absolute sweetheart with an infectious smile, as you will see.
The wedding ceremony took place at a little church where Liz's family have been going since her grandparents first moved to Pembrokeshire when she was just a child... her Grandad even raised money to have the stained glass window put in there years before. It was packed to the rafters and among the congregation was even a local cat who was determined to get in on the action! James then whisked Liz off in a two seater Jag to Amroth beach where she rides her horse Bobbie on regular visits home. Finally we headed to the marquee in Liz's Grandad's field where everyone was waiting (including 'Guest of Honour' Bobbie) to welcome them and party the rest of the day away.
HUGE thanks go to my buddy Jaye from Tux & Tales Photography who put up with my driving on tiny Welsh roads. Thank you for being an awesome second shooter. : )
It was such a beautiful, fun wedding. Liz & James - I'm so happy your other photographer cancelled! It was such a pleasure to be there. Shall we do it all again this year?! xxxxx
