Soughton Hall wedding - Catherine & Ashley

What can I say about Catherine & Ashley's wedding... it was beautiful, elegant, emotional and fun from start to finish.  Blessed with a beautiful warm sunny day (incredible considering we'd had snow in the days leading up to it, you could even see it on top of the surrounding mountains) they made the most of every single second... even during the group shots!

Sorry if you've already seen that but it makes me smile... Ashley should sign up for the Chester Jets - who says white men can't jump!

I first met Ashley allbeit very briefly at Laura & Steve's wedding last September but amidst the many guests I didn't speak to Catherine so I was delighted when she got in touch to ask me to shoot their April wedding!  We spoke on the phone and quite apart from the fact that Catherine is in fact Laura's voice twin, I felt like I'd known her for ages.   : )

We spoke many times leading up to the wedding, as well as meeting up to shoot the engagement photos and I have to say by the time the day arrived we were firm friends.  I honestly felt like a guest, I got such a warm welcome from Catherine and her gorgeous mum Barbara the minute I arrived and I knew this was going to be an amazing day.

There were also a lot of familiar faces and it was really lovely to see Laura & Steve (still with that newlywed 'glow') and Victoria Thomas (a very talented wedding make-up artist - for all you future brides!).  There were tears (mostly mine!).  There was laughter non stop.  There was dancing.  There was twirling (C's stunning Justin Alexander dress was MADE for it!).  And there was a LOT of love.   It was sheer perfection.

C&A - wishing you a lifetime of happiness together.  You are made for one another.  : )    Thank you for choosing me to capture your most special day, thank you for the bottle of champagne, thank you for cooking me a wonderful dinner when I came to do your viewing and thank you for making my job such an absolute joy.   Love to you both and cuddles for that sweet boy of yours (Oliver, obviously!).   See you very soon.  xxxxx

Finally a big big thank you to fellow Click Collective member and friend Victoria Phipps for coming along to help me and second shoot on the day.  : )   Here are some of my photos....
